Refund & Cancellation Policy
This policy applies to paid consultations booked through this website, visa application services and professional engagements.
Rescheduling
A booked consultation may be rescheduled once at no cost if you notify us at least 24 hours before the scheduled time.
Cancellation before the consultation
Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled time are eligible for a refund of the consultation fee, less any payment gateway charges.
No-show or late cancellation
Where a consultation is missed or cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled time, the fee is not refundable as the advisor's time has been reserved.
After the consultation
Once professional advice has been delivered, the consultation fee is not refundable.
Visa application services: refunds and switching
100% refund of the Kompass fee if you cancel before we start work on your file. 50% refund once we have started reviewing your documents. No refund once your application has been submitted. Not the right visa or country, or your documents do not fit? Ask us to switch you to another country or visa, and the fee you paid is credited toward it. Government and visa-centre fees are paid to them directly and are not refundable by us. We cannot guarantee a visa: the decision is the government's.
Visa application services
The Kompass fee for a visa application service covers our work on your application. It does not include third-party costs, which you pay at cost: government and visa-centre fees, certified translation, courier or passport pickup and return, notarisation or attestation, photos, travel insurance, visa-centre add-on services, and charges made by your bank or employer for statements or letters. We confirm each amount with you before it is arranged. These charges are never refundable by us, and the decision on a visa rests solely with the relevant government authority.
Professional engagements
Refund terms for implementation or representation engagements are set out in the written scope of work for that engagement. Third-party charges such as government, institution and assessment fees are never refundable by us.
